We hold on to memories which reinforce how we feel about ourselves. These are called memorials. We will now look for evidence of information where we look for times that we thank for and feel grateful. These are known as Gratitude memorials. You can place them where you can see them easily and be thankful for that experience. For example., you can have a picture of yourself on a holiday and be grateful for your holiday experience. Similarly, keep a picture of your pet or your best friend. It will make you smile every time you look at it, and you will be grateful for such people and pets in your life.
Now, a little different exercise of gratitude. Take a few deep breaths with your eyes closed. Shift your attention to something that makes you happy. Visualise that event completely and describe that event in your mind. Visualise yourself as you are now in the moment and what you saw, felt, and heard. This experience might be negative and positive, but now, you will concentrate on only the positives and an experience for which you would be grateful.
You can open your eyes and write down three statements about this experience forwhich you are grateful. Can you decipher the emotions associated with this event?
Are there any negative emotions associated with this feeling?Replace it with feelings of gratitude. Think of a “wow” moment in your life. It can be your day of graduation, your wedding day or your last birthday. Reflect on the gratitude of this moment. Think of a person you would like to thank or change your feelings towards Identify one admirable quality towards them. Meditate on aspects of that admirable quality and where they have expressed it.I appreciate it, and I thank them with a letter.
Now,please write down onefantastic person in your life, one thing about your body you are grateful for,and one about your homeyou love and are thankful for. This can be your easy chair, which you use every morning to have a cup of coffee. The next time you sit in the chair to enjoy coffee the following day, remember your gratitude, and you can use this chair as a gratitude memorial. You can think about the people you would like to thank for one day. Choose three. It can be your friend, your partner or your spouse. Call them today and express some words of gratitude. Tell them how much they mean to you. Now, note the emotions that fill you when you express gratitude. Do this at least once a week. Maintaining a gratitude diary and noting one thing that makes you grateful daily will go a long way. You can refer to the gratitude journal often to revisit grateful moments.
